These days I am reading <<Python source code analyze>>, I think it's a good book for every programmer except some superfluous words. so I suggest you to read it if you like dynamic language or like programme, you will find the theory of dynamic language from this book, it also show you how to implement object for python and how to execute the code, etc. Whatever you like, ruby, groovy or python, this book is worth reading.
ActionScript3 is a good technology for RIA, and you can add Papervision3D library to implement 3D vision. so if you want to develop a virtual world, it is a good choose for you.
