在上周的LinuxWorld大会上，IBM表示将大力推动源码开放(Open Source)运动，其中包括: 支持跨平台应用程序的Eclipse RCP，用于development的Eclipse平台，基于Geronimo的开源应用服务器，开源的数据库系统如Apache Derby和DB2 Express-C，开放的硬件架构以及开放的网格(Grid)服务。
