How to Unlock Ruleset Version (Find out Password Code).

  1. Open the Rule-Ruleset-Version instance that is locked.
  2. Click on the icon "Rule Data" on the top of the form.
  3. In the Rule Data please find the value in the tag "pzInsKey" and copy this in a notepad.
  4. Please go to the prdbutil utility (http://servername:8090/prdbutil/FirstSteps/FirstSteps.jsp).
  5. Select the Utilities gadget on the left pane.
  6. Select the Export PegaRULES Process Commander Application Instances option from the Utilities menu.
  7. Click on the Export Instances tab.
  8. In the form please go the "Export Instances" tab and give a file name to export and paste the pzInsKey in the "Instances" textbox.
  9. Click Export and a zip file will be generated.
  10. Please copy that zip file to your desktop and extract it to a folder .
  11. You will find a jar with the name "RulePages_0000.jar", extract it and open the rule and edit the properties below to reflect the values shown in red:

    a. pyVersionSecure = false

    b. pyVersionPassword = ""

    c. pyVersionFormEditPwd = ""

    For Example:

    <property>     
    <name>pyVersionSecure</name>
    <value  attr="@Z:sSN:">true</value>
    </property>

    //Becomes:

    <property>
    <name>pyVersionSecure</name>
    <value  attr="@Z:sSN:">false</value>
    </property>

    Actually, the value of pyVersionPassword is the password code, just copy this code as the password to PRPC for locked ruleset version.
